The always controversial Hip Hop star Kanye West almost interrupted Rock singer Becks during the acceptance of his Album of the Year grammy.
The
guests at Staple Centre held their breath as Kanye West got up and
walked to the podium. It wasn't going to be a repeat of the infamous
2009 MTV Video Music Awards when the producer interrupted Taylor Swift.
As he got on stage, Kanye West cracked a smile and went back to his seat. His antic left the crowd laughing.
After the award ceremony Kanye West said that Beck should have given the award to Beyonce.
"I
just know that the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming
back, they need to stop playing with us. We ain't gonna play with them
no more. And Beck needs to respect artistry and he should've given his
award to Beyonce" he told Billboard.
Beyonce won
three albums on the night, Best R&B Song and Best R&B
Performance for 'Drunk In Love', and Best Surround Sound Album for Beyonce.
